“You can have the best lubricant in the world but if it isn’t applied correctly there is a massive amount of value not being realised.”
So said one of the Activate team in a meeting earlier this year and it really got us thinking about our role as a lubrication partner, in particular our overriding mission to increase production line reliability for our customers.
That’s really where our value lies – the application of our 80+ combined years of tribological knowledge to increase reliability and thereby reduce downtime, lower maintenance costs, improve asset life and increase OEE. A further reduction of hassle and stress comes as standard!
So, we’ve decided to make 2022 the year of reliability and have developed an increased range of service offerings to identify and provide reliability improvement opportunities to manufacturers’ current assets.
Training
Several training options are available, ranging from online ‘Toolbox Talks’ (provided through our customer exclusive e-training portal) to a two day on-site International Council of Machinery Lubrication (ICML) professional coaching package.
Lubrication / reliability improvement projects
Lubrication Improvement Projects provide onsite support on any asset that you would like to improve reliability on, e.g. reduce PPM’s, increase service intervals, etc. Lubrication engineers conduct a site visit, assess current maintenance methods and look at all options for optimisation. They then provide a full report with recommended actions and cost benefit analysis. Activate guarantee a minimum 5:1 ROI on all Lubrication Improvement Projects.
International Council of Machinery Lubrication (ICML) survey
International Council of Machinery Lubrication - ISO 55.1. A 140-point survey and full report to identify current situation across the site on best practice lubrication and reliability, and recommendations for improvements.
Activate Lubrication App
We have developed a stand-alone lubrication control app which provides comprehensive operational support for anyone involved in the lubrication culture. Get in touch for more information – this really is a revolutionary piece of kit!
A recent US study by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology determined that lubrication was the root cause of mechanical failure in 70% of instances, and yet there is no specific, certified training in lubrication.
Activate are here to step in and act as your ‘encyclopaedia’ – from tribological and application expertise to audit compliance knowledge, we’ve got you covered.
We help you to get the right product, in the right place, in the right amount, at the right frequency to achieve the right lubrication culture for your production site.
