UK food industry engineering apprentices can take advantage of free access to Activate Lubricants' e-training platform, Activate Insights, as part of an incentive to encourage 'best practice' lubrication.
Usually only available to Activate customers, Insights covers the basics of foodgrade lubrication compliance, management systems, equipment, oils, greases and aerosols, through video content and multi-choice knowledge reviews.
Sales Director Charles Harvey explains: "Insights was developed specifically for Activate customers to help them achieve best practice using our food grade products and management systems."
"Engineers are encouraged to take the knowledge evaluations every six months to keep up to speed. On completion, a certificate is produced for inclusion in the site's compliance folder - another tick in the box for when the auditors visit."
The subscription-based platform has proved extremely popular, in particular with new, less experienced engineers who join a company that is already using Activate Lubricants.
Business Development Director, Jim Harvey continues: "Although Insights is designed to be concise and effective, to impart information without impacting too much on a busy engineer's time, the feedback we've had is that the content contains strong, basic principles that really benefit newcomers to production line maintenance, for example around compliance, NSF registration, etc."
"We've been told that our customers' apprentices have gotten a lot out of it, so we thought - why not open this to ALL food industry apprentices?"
So that’s exactly what Activate have done. Any food industry engineering apprentice can access Activate Insights for free – all you need to do is get in touch to set up your account!
"We've been in this industry for nearly 30 years” says Jim, “and have amassed a wealth of application-based knowledge and expertise along the way. This is one way in which we’re giving something back, and helping to bring on a new generation of best practice driven engineers."
